Interpreting Music Using Grammars: An Introduction

On Tues 16th March 2010 I gave a talk to the Prob Models reading group at home in the Informatics department at Edinburgh University. This was a basic introduction to my work.

The talk is aimed at non-musicians, so attempts to explain the music theory from scratch. It was for an audience of NLP folks, so does assume some grounding in grammar theory.

There were some musical examples to go with the talk, not published here.
